Clueless! (Inspired by Cluedo and A. Christie)
Colonel Mustard,
Finished his custard
And in the shadowy dining hall, mused,
Of all the weapons, he’s ever held
Was it his service revolver they used?
*****
Miss Scarlet,
Never a star and always a starlet,
Roams restless in the hall today…
The dagger she keeps, as sacred garter
Pricks at her flesh,
but this evening, doesn’t cut her…
*****
Professor Plum,
Is rather glum,
The library yields no hidden clues …
The candle, in turns, burns and flickers,
While his palms grow moist even quicker.
******
Mrs Peacock,
Her feathers now truly ruffled
Let’s loose an expletive, politely muffled.
The conservatory is her haunt tonight ,
Her velvet rope, to deal with every blight.
******
Mrs. White,
Oh what a sight!
The household is all in disarray tonight.
The kitchen rolling pin, swapped for an unwieldy spanner
Her demeanour far removed from her usual manner…
******
Reverand Green,
In his years of service to the Queen
Never imagined he would bear witness to this scene…
The lead pipe in his hand, only for pomp and show,
For in the ballroom, the dark shadows do seem to grow…
*****
Dr. Black,
The victim of the attack,
Lies on the floor with his limbs gone slack…
Who did it? The culprit, was it female or male?
Sadly, a dead man can tell no tales…
